Isabel was born in Melbourne Australia. Her father was Australian, and her mother Swiss. Her family lived in Switzerland, Melbourne Jabiru (a small mining community within the Northern Territory), Cairns Australia and in Jabiru, Switzerland. Sister Nina also attended a school that had children from different backgrounds and First Nations. Isabel lives with her family in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was a performer in her school. She went on to study drama in The Victorian College of Arts Queensland University of Technology and also lately, she studied the PEM method Perdekamp the Emotional Technique. Agents discovered her in 2002. She'd never attempted on a stage before. She tried out for the part in Home and Away in 1988.
